This was not done because I'm anti whitey! Nope. Not at all. This was not done because I'm riding an BWE wave and all others who aint black can suck it! Nope. Not that either. This was done because out of roughly 167 comments on this post, only 3 had enough balls to disagree and take the gang bang of hateful comments to follow. If you are a blog where you promote learning about yourself (i.e. natural hair shit, having Kola Boof on there...Sexy Part of the Bible...nuff said) then you should have no problems with a disagreement. Anywho...wont rant about that! It was done to show we all need some work done with ourselves (I'm included in this statement!). I'm not against aligning with anyone! But the question has to be asked what are we aligning for? Alliance: Loyalty or commitment of a subordinate to a superior or of an individual to a group or CAUSE. When she suggested that we know ourselves in order to form a legit cause to strengthen alliances (As ProfJames suggested and pointed out with his wife's extensive knowledge of herself and her people) this was quickly disregarded. And when the subject of cause arose, only status was quoted again and again as the main reason. An ambiguous term with little to no real concrete examples as to what our cause was (I take that back, they did say something about image makeover...I really didn't see where they were going with this but hey...maybe its not meant for me to get!) This led me to believe that this was not an alliance for a cause but simply an alliance of the subordinate to the superior. I really hoped it wasn't but then ProfJamesP proved me right.
Ladies, I appreciate your revolutionary site (yeah, its pretty revolutionary. you don't have to run from this word). But there is always room for improvement! We are here, not to completely agree but to check one another to make sure WE get it right. As I would hope you check this site where ever you see fit! Long story short, if after this you still cant see a point oh well, maybe this site isn't for you. But maybe, one of the people who only read and watch the articles (as I have done most of the time! Actually my first time commenting) or those who didn't want to risk being tagged teamed WWE style, may take a sigh of relief and say "Damn...I'm not crazy. I knew something was off about this!" Peace, Love and Progess ladies! Peace, Love and Progress! :)
